Research Advisory Group

The Department Research Advisory Group works with our faculty and other existing resources at UBC and affiliated Research Institutes to promote and facilitate research and research productivity across the department.

Terms for Reference

The Research Advisory Group strives to:

  • Identify sources of help for researchers for start up funds, operational support and help with infrastructure.
  • Ensure researchers are aware of grant facilitation services available to them.
  • Identify and facilitate areas of collaboration between researchers.
  • Explore ways to improve subject recruitment.
  • Promote productive research by students and young faculty.
  • Develop a profile for research within the Department.
  • Identify common, shared needs of researchers.
  • Review and prioritize departmental start up funds, with priority given to projects led by students (graduate students, residents, fellows).
  • Facilitate publication
