About Vancouver

Vancouver is Canada's third largest city. Superbly situated along Burrard Inlet, the city offers many recreational and cultural activities. Ski facilities are available within minutes from the city on the local north shore mountains, and within a two hour drive at the world class Blackcomb and Whistler ski areas.

Recreational boating and fishing occur year round in the surrounding waters, and the climate is mild enough that most outdoor recreational activities can be enjoyed throughout the year. Stanley Park is situated in the heart of the city and offers 404 hectares of natural forests and trails, as well as a zoo and aquarium, and the larger Pacific Spirit Regional Park, adjacent to the UBC campus, is densely forested with many hiking and equestrian trails.

Also, part of the city is the second largest Chinatown in North America, and a large public market. The city enjoys a major symphony orchestra, an operatic society and numerous professional and amateur theatre groups.

About Whistler Blackcomb Mountains
